7. For all those that say there is no point... even if it's tabled, there is a point.
The point is to find out just how many elected dems think playing politics is more important than punishing these criminals for their crimes.

party leadership orgs. This is it, I may not even vote in 2008. And, I've been a very active regional volunteer in every campaign since McGovern. I've had it.

27. You're never going to change anything with that kind of strategy.
What needs to be done are aggressive challenges in the primary system to uproot entrenched politicians. The only problem is you need money to run against incumbents, and working class folks have a hard time raising that kind of money.

41. Perhaps each local Democratic Group should vote to pull out of its party membership...
And at least send a vote indicating that we no longer believe this party represents us, and that we will look to build a party organization (perhaps another party) that does!

Perhaps Democratic Underground should for a day be "AnotherPartyUnderground" or something like that!

If we build this up in a grass roots fashion each place, perhaps they will see that they will LOSE their feet on the ground for the 2008 election UNLESS they work with DEMOCRATIC PRINCIPLES and represent the people and not continue trying to support the corporatocracy, which is NOT our party.

I think I will bring up such a proposal in our next group meeting the following week!
