1. You don't want a Democratic Party
You want a REAL left wing party, and you'll never get one.

The Democrats (as are the great majority of Americans) are as a whole, centrists. This is why Kucinich's standing in the polls is what it is: he's too left for American political tastes.

Face it: There IS NO great hunger for true left wing politics in this country. The Republicans are finding that out on the right side. America tends toward the center. Sorry. You'll just have to make do with the choir loft that is DU.

When the money in the party is spent on promoting DLCers/"centrists" and actively making sure that any leftie is left on his/her own, of course these DLCers/"centrists" can buy their way into political seats.

The voter is only given two choices, a GOPer or a "centrist" sneakily hiding behind a Democratic mask trying to deceive everyone that he is not a "centrist".

26. How will you measure his popularity then?
If the media is stonewalling him, if he's polling in the single digits, if money doesn't mean anything, how do you know there's a big groundswell of popular support? I'm just trying to figure out what that's based on.
