He tried to refer it to a committee and when Kucinich asked for a recorded vote, Hoyer said, "I withdraw my motion......he's wants a vote, fine."

2. Is this just an incredibly masterful move on the part of House Dems?
I don't know what's going on, but it is AMAZING!

7. Did they trick Repugs into thinking they were embarrassing Dems
by voting against it so THEY would vote FOR it? My head hurts.

8. You say Bayner. I say Boner. Let's impeach the vice president!
:) Damnit, I've got pending matters in my personal life that rival the importance of this vote. Argh. I'm going nuts here.

9. You get it. Many here do not.
This is a game of chicken ... and the Dems had better play with spine or lose a LOT of support.

19. The Smart Thing To Do At This Point Is Political Jujitsu
Say "Fine, the Repubs want it on the table? Game on mutherfuckers!" Then impeach the scumbag. The public would back the Dems wholeheartedly on this.

15. I don't think they have a choice, now...
Like it or not, here it comes. Cheney's got to be blowing his stack right about now. Either this was masterful on Hoyer's part, or a serious blunder.
