And we just watched history folks
when we are old and gray we can tell the kiddies what we saw today.

What is clear is that impeachment is crawling on the table now

32. We are not repukes
It is a mistake to play their game. Our best option is to be true to our values. We want truth and justice. We want information. We want these people who think that they are playing an f'ing game to know that this will not stand. They work for us and we have had enough. It is time for them to answer for thier crimes. This is real. It is not a game.

Peace.

29. I am lost! What is the GOP up to?
Are they bringing it to the floor because they think they can kill it deader than if it is tabled?

Are they stealing our thunder because they actually hope to rid them selves of Cheney so they have a chance in the 08 elections?

Am I an idiot??

This is the one scenario I NEVER imagined! I was sure the GOP would introduce tabling the resolution, and our Dinos would go along.

My hope... That they are telling the White house that this is the best way to kill it, but actually know Cheney is going to be Impeached.

My gut feeling is they are going to stomp it into the ground and our capitulating Dems with it.

PLEASE SOMEONE explain what this might be...

38. Several things
1.- They hope to embarras dems

2.- They hope to be portrayed as the ones who TRIED to get rid of Chenney.. (and if that works, we just lost the election)

2.- This is the distancing of the most unpopular administration since Nixon

55. Ah.....thank you for saying what my gut was telling me but M$M and
even DU'ers didn't seem to be verifying. I think the Repugs turned on Cheney today but in a vote that was so bizarre either the M$M missed it...or just didn't want the public to know what it was.

All that switching votes that the Repugs did making it look like THEY were the ones AGAINST Tabeling the Resolution while the Dems didn't change their vote.

But...I read it that there is something going on "behind the scenes" between Repugs and Dems that Dems would look like the ones not for furthering Impeachment (because Nancy said it was a No Go) and so the Repugs did the heavy lifting.

Whatever...it was fascinating to watch...

40. It was a republican that told Nixon to leave
Nixon did not resign until the House committee approved articles of impeachment and it was clear that the House was going to vote to impeach. That was when congressional Republicans went to the White House and told Nixon to resign.
