There are no exceptions...they prey on the stupidity and gullibility of idiots. Quite successfully, as it turns out.

check it out sometime, they have a camp over on lake hudson too, oh they're real cult like if you ask me too

16. When my kid was a 6th grader his school (public) had its annual 6th grade retreat at that camp!
The signup brochure they sent home with the kids in little tiny letters at the bottom mentioned Willie George Ministries, so I looked Camp Dry Gulch up online and sure enough, it's a super-Christian camp. Needless to say, my kid did not go on this 2-day sleepover retreat. Since attending is optional, it's legal, but it still strikes me as pushing ideology disguised as "fun"...

They are way too smooth and way too good at what they do to make me want to even get close to one of them.

Or, for that matter, anyone who offers any intangible for a fee or donation? (read: psychics, feng shui artists, etc., etc., etc.

6. For example...the mega church in Minneapolis/St Paul got Bachman
elected. The guy is a crook to start with. He is the pastor of the church. So he buys houses, cars, boats and an airplane FOR the church. Then he rents them back to himself at 1/10 of the regular price. Plus the church pays the utilities, and the gas for the cars and the airplane.

He then goes before his congregation, and he tells them to VOTE for Mitchell Bachman. He sent out flyer's etc. Minneapolis, of course is republican and even tho they say this guys ethics are questionable, they have never indicted him.

15. I've always thought that any church who supports...
campaigns for, or tells their congregation to vote for a certain bill or individual, should lose their tax-exempt status!

Yesterday I was sitting on a beanbag chair, naked, eating Cheetos and I was flipping through the television and I saw Robert Tilton. He's a televangelist out of Dallas, and he was staring at me. He looked at me and said, "Are you lonely?" Yeah. "Have you spent half your life in bars, pursuing sins of the flesh?" This guy's good! "Are you sitting in a beanbag chair, naked, eating Cheetos?" es, sir! "Do you have the urge to get up and send me a thousand dollars?" Close! I thought he was talking about me there for a second! Apparently I'm not the only cat on the block that digs Cheetos.


I agree with you- megachurches and tele's are about as low as you can get.

31. Patsy, my remarks weren't racist, they were somewhat ethnic, I admit.

I actually have a very charismatic muslim friend who wanted to come back to the USA to give christian evangelism a try. He thinks he can make a lot of money at it. So do I.

He is not now and never will be christian. Its just about the money.
