Pelosi and Hoyer think the American people are stupid.
Can you blame them?

How many people do you know are "low information voters"? (i.e. disinterested, casually familiar with the issues, Fox News watching idiots)

Kucinich is dead right to raise the impeachment issue. No one deserves impeachment more than the criminals now ocuppying the WH.

Information is power. Ahh, Correction...

CORRECT information is power, anything else is propaganda.

Which, I assume, is what concerns Pelosi and others who are against raising this issue. Other than making it mandatory to view the procedings from an unbiased source (C-Span?)They may fear that the truth will get submerged, beaten down by the right-wing media machine (meaning practically all of the MSM). And their dreams of sweeping the gov't in a Democratic win in the polls next year will vanish into thin air.

1. There is more to it than them thinking we are stupid, as many as have
protested her decisions have shown, there is much more, I just wish I knew all the answers. I don't like even having to find myself raising a question I shouldn't have to.

2. This is where we find ourselves in America.
High crimes conducted by the White House, aided an abetted by corporate America.

We have lost the country.

3. Rachel Maddow, on Countdown discussed this earlier.
Her point was with Cheney's 12 pt. approval, and the opportunity to discuss in Congress, all of his bad points, Democrats blew it. One poll showed 52 percent would like Cheney impeached. The people are with Kucinich on this one. I don't know if Pelosi and Hoyer think we're stupid, but they're doing a poor job representing us.

5. As I stated above...
they fear losing the information wars....

Using a sports analogy...Its ALWAYS an "away game" for the Democrats. They are never the home team..

6. Maybe it's time for a march on Washington just for the Democratic leadership?
I mean it, this is getting absurd and the people may need to ban together against the Dem leadership. That would be one hell of a news story and would wake there ass up quick!

8. a very poor job representing us, they are more concerned
about their own persona than the Constitution or the American people.

9. 52% of the people are with Kucinich according to your post,
Edited on Tue Nov-06-07 09:29 PM by TWriterD
which is only a slight majority. Joe Blow may be dissatisfied with Cheney, but he's almost as dissatisfied with Congress (19% approval rating?). People want RESULTS: Iraq, wages, health care, NOLA, etc. What's the primary reason for the 48% opposing?

Maddow did make excellent points:

--Cheney's approval rating is at 11%.
--Impeachment is about RESPECT for the office and the Constitution.
--Impeachment is NOT about revenge (unless of course, you're a Republican...).

Shudder to think: her 'prediction' that Commander Flightsuit appoint Jeb if Cheney were to leave office (for whatever the reason).

11. What is stupid is saying this. Your statement lacks reasoning and is insupportable.
Hey, let's just all start screaming "stupid" at each other. That should really help the cause of democracy and progress in opposing the Bush Junta.

Or, maybe we can try to use reasoned argument and not stoop to name calling like a bunch of children on a playground.
