$3.00 + gas? gee, thanks prez bush!
though i'm sure the lapdog press and talking heads will deflect blame, or even somehow frame it as some kind of crowning achievement, i know that this admin is so deeply vested in the oil business that this price rise isn't an accident.

and so the freeptards want war in iran? gee, how much you think they'd like $5.00 gas?

2. Under Clinton I remember gas at 99 cents. And when it rose a tiock the GOP and MSM howled and howled
So Clinton did what Smirk would never do -- threatened to open the strategic reserve.

Republicans are great watchdogs of the public trust -- but only when the public trust is in Democrat hands.

8. Bush said he knew how to deal with high gas prices in 2000.
Bush In 2000: Bush Blamed Clinton Administration For High Gas Prices; Promised "Immediate Relief" By Using His "Capital" With Saudis And Kuwaitis. "Campaigning for president in a state particularly hard-hit by high gasoline prices, Texas Gov. George W. Bush on Tuesday blamed the nation's predicament on the Clinton administration, which he said is operating without an energy policy. "This is an administration that is hoping the issue goes away,' Bush said. ... 'The vice president seems to forget who's been in office for seven years,' Bush said. 'This is an administration that has been in charge, and the price of gasoline has risen steadily since they've been in office.' Asked what he would do as president to address the price at the pump, Bush said he would confer with oil-producing allies and ask them to pump more crude. 'I would use the capital my administration will earn with the Kuwaitis or the Saudis, to convince them to open up the spigot,' Bush said. 'That's where we will get immediate relief.'"

You'd think he was speaking of his own misadministration from his statements. What happened to all that capital you had, Bush?

George W. Bush: WORST. PRESIDENT. EVER.
George W. Bush: MOST. CORRUPT. PRESIDENT. EVER.

4. print up some small stickers
that say----

" Like these gas prices? Thank a Republican"

and put them on your local gas pumps right by the price window.

5. In England they pay $7.50 per gallon of gasoline
Most of this is tax, but it does help the government pay for universal healthcare.

I guess it depends on whether you believe people should be "free" to burn the earth's resources at the lowest possible price, even if it is known to cause global warming with catastrophic consequences for the planet and her inhabitants.

The fact is, while gasoline remains relatively cheap, most people will not pay sufficient attention to mileage (and emissions) when they are buying a new vehicle. Even if there is also a wealthy liberal minority willing to pay extra for a hybrid.

6. The freepers will like it just fine
After all they know that freedom is not free right?
4 or 5 dp;;ar gas would be fine with them as long as we could have a war with Iran.
