1. While Rudy probably doesn't meet Pat's high moral standards
He probably sees him as "most likely to bring about the apocalypse"

10. Funny, if it wasn't so true.
And so terrifying.

2. The Robertson one is interesting.
I thought Robertson would endorse Huckabee. Since Huckabee shares the same values as Robertson.

13. I guess stealing from Governor's Mansion funds, and trying to
sneak 70,000 worth of furniture out of the mansion at the end of his term, and accepting inappropriate gifts while gov, wouldn't paint him as greedy, would it? And he's a GODAWFUL gasbag. He doesn't even make sense half the time. Robertson isn't going to back a loser.

14. OK, fine. I don't know much about him, then.
I was thinking of Robertson's diamond mines and protein shake scams and all the ridiculous garbage that regularly comes out of his mouth.

17. No doubt Robertson is one crooked, corrupt SOB. I think Rudy has
more ethics, and that's not saying much, LOL! I almost wonder if this ends up being a damaging endorsement in terms of Rudy being able to attract independent support.

9. Robertson will always back the likely Republic party nominee;
that way lies influence and power. If you throw your support behind a loser, you get nothing. I think this move will pretty much put an end to all the talk of a serious rift between the fundies and the money boyz; influence and power trump values every time, even in fundie-land.

11. Tells us Robertson does not want to lose power he gets from a Repub in the Oval Office
... when it comes to principles the he has espoused for years to his followers, maintaining his power arrangement is much more important.

20. Starting to wonder if there's a Dobson-Robertson feud for control of the
fundamentalist Christian rightwing coalition of voters and they're using Giuliani and McCain as their surrogates. (It's my impression that Dobson was leaning toward Brownback.)

21. McCain?? Neither Dobson or Robertson can stand McCain--he's out
of the evangelical loop permanently, mostly because of CFR (and that whole "agent of intolerance" comment). Dobson will either not endorse, or come out for Mittens, I'll bet. But there does seem to be a power struggle there--Robertson obviously didn't join in on the Christian third-party threat
that Dobson was promoting.
