1. I have not heard one word @ this historic day in our history
on my television in the last 10 hours.

There is a news blackout on this and the WAR!

Just the announcement about President Clinton was 24/7, in every paper and all we could read and see,

Now this piece of slim from CBS interviews the great/brave Senator and gave the Marching Orders from Cheney and Rove!

If America is not a dictatorship, what is!!

7. Now you're gettin' the idea!
"It's The Media, Stupid!"! Not you, of course, but as with the immortal words in 1991 with the b clinton campaign and ghwb not getting it about the Economy..this is THE BIG ROGUE ELEPHANT in the room..The corporatemediawhores are THE PROBLEM and forever will be until the Internet takes over and kills it like the meteorites did to the dinos.

25. That is exactly what needs to happen
but it is a news blackout.

They can talk about every single thing that happened in America but Dennis gets no respect.

33. Because they're very afraid of him..
They know if they reported on what Dennis Kucinich was doing that a LOT of Americans would agree and pretty soon they'd be a mass surge towards getting rid of their beloved little monkey and his grinder.

22. What exactly was so historic about today?
DK resubmitted his previously submitted impeachment resolution and, like the previous version, it ended up being referred to Judiciary. The route taken was different procedurally, but substantively the proposal and the result were exactly the same.

Or put another way, was yesterday any more historic than February 21, 1991? That's the day that articles of impeachment against George Herbert Walker Bush were introduced (and referred to Committee). http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/D?c102:1:./temp/~mdbsRZDwe0::

Probably not going to see a lot of references to that in your history books. Or to May 6, 2004, which is the day a resolution to impeach Donald Rumsfeld was introduced and referred to committee. http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/D?c108:1:./temp/~mdbsO1nIOk::

Comparing the coverage of DK's resolution to the Clinton resolution is pretty silly, since it was known that the Clinton resolution was going to pass and that impeachment proceedings were going to start, whereas it was known that DK's resolution had no chance of going anywhere.

Just answering your last question.

And you're right, there's a total blackout on the war! I completely forgot it was going on! :dunce:

3. Dennis may be the last real patriot in congress. How can we properly
show our support? The fix is certainly in, both in congress and the msm. I really fear he is on his own in this.

6. on his own???
doesn't he have millions of people backing him on this? We need to support him and to show those in Washington we are NOT "irrelevant" like that idiot who is occupying the WH.

24. I meant aside from the millions of us common folk, because I don't
feel like we count much anymore. Maybe we never did. Right now, at this point in history, I think Dennis Kucinich is the critical person who can make the difference. The msm is making me sick. If this impeachment fails, and if Kucinich doesn't get elected, I fear most things will only get worse. If Kucinich doesn't get the nomination, I hope that that will spur Al Gore into action, even as a third party candidate. A lot of polls are starting to show Kucinich in a commanding lead, so I believe there is certainly hope. It largely depends on where the masses get their news. Kucinich will either win as the phenominal candidate he is, or if too many uninformed people only trust the msm for their news snippets, he will be written off.

Would you like a dose of PsyOps with your side of fear-mongering as you watch those re-runs of Desperate Housewives this evening? BTW "chocolate rations" are on hold until the Our Beloved Military recruitment depots are able to meet their goals for human "peasant" cannon fodder.

See post #7..The Yellow media chart is one of main reasons why bushits have gotten as far as they have..because if we had a true media then all those other colored rectangles would be exposed!

He did very well! I like this quote from him at the end:

29. In a sense, Kucinich is right. They didn't call his bluff. because they
understood that he was not bluffing. Instead, they threw out a bluff of their own, knowing full well that our own party was not going to back him. Now it is our turn to call their bluff.

We all know that, had it come down to debate yesterday, Kucinich's resolution would have gone down in flames. The best thing that could have happened did happen. It is now in committee. Kucinich may have been prepared to debate the merits of his articles of impeachment, but his effort would have met with disaster.

In order to save further embarrassment, since Hoyer's move to table had been thwarted, and since they didn't want the further embarrassment of immediate debate and have their opinions in the congressional record, all they could do then was to regroup and send it to committee.
