7. Dennis has been being teased for having admitted to seeing a UFO -

Shirley MacLaine told in public what Dennis had told her - the he had seen a UFO and felt moved by its presence. He was asked about it at the debate and brought up the fact that Jimmy Carter claimed to have seen a UFO, too.

Now he has taken the UFO story and turned it around -- he is to be valued for seeing and speaking THE TRUTH, which is apparently unidentified by most of the rest of the Washington crowd.

11. In Shirley MacLaine's latest book she wrote about Dennis

having seen a UFO above her home in Washington when he was visiting her.

Mr. Potato Head Russert played gotchya with Kucinich during the last Democratic debate by asking him about it.

Dennis handled it well by saying something like "More Americans believe in UFO's than those who approve of the * pResidency."

She did a great job defending her point of view and his and also said something when Matt Lauer asked her what she was afraid of she said something like "when madmen are in charge of democracies."

= unrecognizable, ungrounded (disconnected), and indefinable obscurity

was how I interpreted the metaphor.

These things are always open to interpretation but I personally LOVED it. There's no accounting for taste though.

Go through DU's ActBlue page to donate to his campaign. Yesterday I donated $3.33 and $7.99 in honor of his impeachment resolutions. Others who can afford more have donated $33.30 and $79.90...or added yet another decimal place. Every little bit helps and isn't a waste, unless you consider standing up for the Constitution a hollow effort.

Remember, our founding fathers undertook to free this country from tyranny with little initial hope they'd succeed. They stood up to the first mad King George not because they were assured of victory, but because it was the right thing to do.

Not to mention, there is so much truth wrapped up in that one pithy little statement, the fact that it harkens back to l'il Timmy Russert's "gotcha" moment at the debate, so much the better!

That is a line that will resonate with more than just us here at DU.

(on edit) Not to mention, the interviewer did not look any too happy that his own "gotcha" questions were neatly deflected by Kucinich, who made his case very, very well. Well kudos anyway to the show for having him on.
