CONYERS Office: Committee Staff Should Continue To Consider The "Many Abuses Of Admin-Including VP"
Edited on Wed Nov-07-07 10:32 AM by kpete
Big Stories
A spokeswoman for the House Judiciary did not rule out the committee's consideration of the measure. "We were surprised that the minority was so ready to move forward with consideration of a matter of such complexity as impeaching the Vice President," she said. "The Chairman will discuss today's vote with the Committee members but it would seem evident that the committee staff should continue to consider, as a preliminary matter, the many abuses of this Administration, including the Vice President."

1. See, guys!
Look with Jackson-Lee, Waters and Ellison as co-signers I think there will definately be some very spirited discussion in the Judiciary Committee today!

Thank you, Dennis! and Thank you, Republicans!

2. Cheney has an 11% approval rating
Impeachment is the people's business.

3. Sounds Good,
Wish we could have a Nationwide effort to pressure the JC.
Its a bit more encouraging..maybe. Hope they're not just appeasing the masses with this latest statement.
After so many betrayals, who do we trust?

4. Im confused...
so maybe some more savvy DU'ers can help me.

I was listening to Randi Rhodes late last night, and her mood was very upbeat because this was being sent to the Judiciary committee. Yet, the MSM I've found seems to give off the vibe that this resolution is DOA. Is this the normal route for an impeachment resolution to be taking? What needs to happen for this resolution to be sent to the full House for debate and a vote (a simple majority of the Judiciary voting it out of committee)?

If there are any threads discussion this, let me know.

Thanks.

5. imo.conyers wants to do this but is worried the "box" will be the monster
that creates the great divide..the judiciary has had this to investigate since May and has done nothing...I think this is the right time..especially given the rhetoric re. Iran...so what we need to do is make sure conyers knows we're all on board..anyway, thats what i think...

the neocons have spun a web which may very well have trapped us...
