Where was the DLC when we needed to stop the Nixon impeachment?
We could have really used them then. If Nixon hadn't been impeached, Ford would never have been president, and MAYBE Rumsfeld and Cheney wouldn't have snuck into the White House. The DLC would have stood strong against the move to impeach, and we would have been spared that terrible national nightmare.

turned his back on the Wingnuts who helped get him elected. Impeachment was the price he paid.

15. Actually, articles of impeachement were being written in the House Judiciary.
The process was actively underway and, iirc, at least one article of impeachment had been approved in the committee. It was, according to insiders, the prospect of impeachment that resulted in his resignation.

6. The problem with the Democratic Party is the same problem the
Libertarian and Reform parties have, Republican infiltrators. The Libertarians have their Neil Boortz. The Reform Party has it's Pat Buchanan. And the Democrats being larger than the two has it's DLC.

Republican infiltrators are like a bad case of crabs and we need to get rid of them.

But it's really a common practice by the right when ever a new party rises they jump in and swing it to the right to the point where it's almost indistinguishable from the GOP. There's no reason we shouldn't expect they're doing the same to the Democratic Party.

13. Nixon resigned
after he was about to be impeached, as a result of the Senate Watergate hearings.

the investigations were already done, the evidence ready, the proof certain.

Kucinich's stunt was stupid.

21. What law did he break on what day?
Where's the incontrovertible evidence?

Yeah, he's a schmuck, but impeachment requires a higher standard than "schmuck".

27. No, I won't be working for you today (or tonight)
so you will have to remain in a state of confusion. However, here is a hint - Impeachment is similar to an indictment. It is to be used when there is sufficient information to bring charges and then investigate. After the investigation is complete, the Senate acts as the jury.

Since I'm an immigrant and didn't have the benefit of US civics education, you may want to check my statement, as I am certain your learned observations would certainly shed much needed light on the matter.

29. That's just wrong
impeachment is not the start of an investigation - it's the end result of one.

But since you're putting me on ignore for asking you to defend your statement, you won't see this.
