Kristin Gore co-writes risque political satire movie.
LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Jake Gyllenhaal and Jessica Biel are attached to star in "Nailed," a risque political satire co-written by a daughter of Al Gore.

David O. Russell ("Three Kings") is attached to direct from a screenplay co-written with Kristin Gore, a published novelist and former writer on "Futurama."

Biel would play Sammy Joyce, a socially awkward small-town receptionist who has a nail accidentally shot into her head by a clumsy workman, eliciting wild sexual urges.

The uninsured Joyce goes on a crusade to Washington to fight for the rights of the bizarrely injured. She meets an immoral congressman (Gyllenhaal) who takes advantage of her sex drive and capitalizes on her crusade as Joyce heads into her own career in politics.

Neither star has a signed contract for the film. Their commitment could depend on juggling other features.

1. sounds like loads of fun! is it Kristen Gore who is the published author
and writer for "Futurama" or is it Russell? Journalists today are so sloppy, one never knows for sure!

2. I dunno. I also heard this on an NPR show yesterday.
They just said "daughter of VP Al Gore". They didn't name her.

4. I looked it up on google Kristen IS the writer for "Futurama" it is
a really dumb cartoon, but it is very adult, (done on cartoon network during 'adult swim') like this project.

3. That sounds like Kristen Gore one and the same
In fact, I'm reading a book right now titled "Sammy's Hill" about a bright but socially awkward Congressional staffer and her main character's name is, not surprisingly, Sammy Joyce. It sounds like kind of a strange plot for a movie ("Nailed") but "Sammy's Hill" is unsurprisingly rather quirky as well.

7. It is a good read so far
She also apparently has a 2004 follow-up called "Sammy's House". By just reading the book, you can tell that she writes for Futurama.
