Progressive Talk 1260 in DC -- what the hell is going on?????

Progressive Talk 1260 in DC -- what the hell is going on?????
Sorry to devote this thread to a local issue, but I wanted to see if people know what is going on with the lineup. It was bad enough when they devoted an hour of prime radio time to some guy known as the "Business Shrink." Now, it looks like they got rid of Stephanie Miller and replaced her with 3 MORE hours of Lionel. And yes, that makes SIX total hours of Lionel (9-noon and 7-10pm).

What the hell???

1. Stephanie mentioned DC this morning
She said she is now on the air in DC, so maybe she's just on a new channel. If it helps, she said Bill O'Reilley is on her channel also.

Lionel is an unlistenable wackjob.


She is on WWWT (1500) from 7-9 pm now. It's the new talk station that has the left (Stephanie and Randi Rhoes) and blank (Larry King) and the rw wackos (several incl O'Really).

Ugh.

I love Rachel Maddow and Ed Schultz is ok. I'll be listening to them on XM now I guess.

I don't listen to the radio in the evening, so I will probably never hear her again.

Lionel is just annoying.

At least they still have Ed Schultz, Thom Hartman, and Bill Press.

Here in MA ( of all places...wtf?) we have no Progressive or liberal talk.... just a half dozen RW talk stations.

18. Same here in Tennessee.
And, despite the red/blue maps, all the major cities in Tennessee are blue - our counties may be red, but the city proper is blue (for example, my own city is blue, but looks red on the maps because the COUNTY is VERY red).

There are certainly enough progressives in Knoxville, Nashville or Chattanooga to have at least ONE liberal talk show on, but no. I do know Memphis has something, but that's six hours away.

6. That was bizarre!
I listen to the last few minutes of Stephanie Miller on my way home for lunch. When I went home today, lionel was on. :wtf:

They had no warning about it.

And in the evenings, they cut out the last half hour of Thom Hartman on Mon & Tues for some business moran, and on Wed, they cut the last hour of him for some phony medical show. :grr:
