It's time to put up or shut up
The current crop of Democrats, especially in leadership have turned their backs on us. If we don't vote these people out and replace them with TRUE Democrats we DO deserve what we get.

1. As disgusted as I am with the current dem leadership . . .
I don't think there's any way to find, prepare, and win with a new crop of Dems, fully equipped with spines, before the 2008 elections. The only soul-searching the 'Licans are going through is whether their guys luv jebus and waterboarding intensely enough.

I'm planning on dancing with the one what brung me, cuz the other guys are soooooo much worse.

On the other hand, continually shaming a little spirit into those dems already in the system is a must, as well.

....with that kind of thinking, we are screwed (dictatorship). The current crop of Dems are showing NO spine and falling in line under Bush. We need to START the change and scare the power structure NOW.

2. What... you don't like that they backed off on raising taxes on hedge funds?
Was it the Fair Trade amendments House Dems joined Repukes to vote down?

What is it that you're most disappointed with?

6. I considerd it
then I went... where the fuck do I find 1.2 million? That is the average cost to run these days for a job that lasts two years, and pays what is 260K for the two years?

8. You organize fundraisers
of course, the requires that you devote your entire waking life to campaigning, asking for money, all other things a politician has to do.

7. I'm happy with my Congressional reps
and I don't want to see any of them turned out of office. This purge mentality is not only unrealistic, it jettisons the good with the bad.

9. Exactly what good are you referring to?
The Dem leadership has caved to Bush time and time again. Are we any closer to ending the Iraq debacle?, we are about to confirm a man for Attorney General who has NO legal opinion on waterbording. So please enlighting me, what exactly have the Dems done that's so good?

10. you wrote a turn them all out OP. I responded that
I didn't want to turn my reps out. You did not specify turning out ust the leadership and/or selected reps. I was making a point about my own representatives. If you're interested in why I want to keep them, that's another story.
