Kerick to be indicted Friday. Trouble for Rudy.
Bernard Kerik expected to be indicted on FridayIndictment will cause headaches for Rudy Giuliani

(New York- WABC, November 7, 2007) - Eyewitness News has learned former Police Commissioner Bernard Kerik expects to be indicted Friday in a federal tax fraud case sure to cause headaches for Presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani.

Sources say Kerik's indictment is expected to be unsealed Friday, followed by his arraignment in federal court in White Plains.

Kerik has told close friends and members of his legal team that he expects the indictment on charges, which are related to the filing of his 2000 federal tax return, to come before the statute of limitations expires on November 15.

His associates have already began a legal defense fundraising effort, and his big bucks legal bills could result in the sale of his multi-million Franklin Lakes mansion, a federal prison term, and potentially career-ending consequences to his consulting business in the Middle East.

Kerik turned down a plea bargain in which the government offered a short prison sentence.

His attorney, Kenneth Breen, met with federal prosecutors last Friday in an unsuccessful attempt to stave off the indictment. He argued that the tax case against Kerik is civil, not criminal.

2. was there any discussion of Brian Williams' interview with Rudy, the entire
text of which apparently is online somewhere?

I wonder what/if he said to America's mayor about his good, great friend Bernie......

I'll bet there wasn't much discussion of that subject.

and look for the M$M to ignore this story after a VERY brief mention. there are so many stories out there that one only knows about because of sites like DU that it's getting 'strangely' reminiscent of big media's slavish treatment of Bush in 2000.

Chris Matthews' nauseating performance the other day, while "evalutating" the Giuliani candidacy is the template for things to come

check this thread from last February:

''At the time, we believed that we would be attacked many more times that day and in the days that followed. Without really thinking, based on just emotion, spontaneous, I grabbed the arm of then-Police Commissioner Bernard Kerik, and I said to him, "Bernie, thank God George Bush is our president."

I remember saying back then that he'd be the candidate, and that the media would treat him the same, if not better, than they did B*** when he stole the election the first time.

lots and lots of people disagreed then, still do, apparently.

time to rethink, perhaps?

ask Pat Robertson.

when JimRob follows, as he did, after swearing up and down he'd NEVER, EVER support Bush back in 99, you'll see the rest of the trogs fall in like the mindless automatons they've always been
