3. That's the problem; equating corporate identity with human individuality
Of course, your reply was framed as a sarcastic reference. But the Republicans have given this fraud of a philosophical standing legal bearing.

You know, as I do, that when our government supports the general welfare corporations over that of individual citizens, its engaging highly anti-democratic and anti-humanistic activities

4. Profound stupidity, which always leads to self-destruction.
The human race isn't smart enough to survive.

5. Of course....we are animals.
Edited on Thu Nov-08-07 01:56 PM by Evoman
Put bacteria on a plate, put deer in a forest with no predators, put a bunch of cows on a small pasture, and the same thing will happen: the animals will eat everything, cover their living space in waste, and then starve to death.

Every animal does the same thing. We will eventually start starving, and their will be a dying off. And in the meantime, people will exclaim they have a right to have as much kids as they want, and that they have a right to build a new house, and they have a right to eat as much as they want.

And they are right. But all the rights in the world won't stop you from starving or dying of thirst or literally choking on your own waste.

We took a planetary paradise and have never lived in universal peace.
