5. She was insistent that impeachment would be
a distraction to getting other priorities from moving forward. Ed held his ground, but I wish he would have made a point about how lack of impeachment destroys the rule of law for the future.

She made me want to SCREAM. ....as if she thinks that everything they may try to accomplish won't just be vetoed.

props to Ed.

32. I'm tempted to scare them with the following call, which many here with Rethug reps can do...

Debbie, what are you doing trying to shut down efforts to pursue justice and protecting the rule of law being followed by the highest offices of the land. WHAT could be more important than that?

I've been a progressive Democrat, but heck, even my Republican representative, Brian Bilbray, voted to keep impeachment "on the table" in the House the other day when so many of you DIDN'T! Hmm... Makes me wonder how I should vote in 2008 for a rep that supports the rule of law. I'm sure many in your district are wondering the same thing!

(even though you and I KNOW we would never vote for a Rethug, I think in this case, their votes could be used to serve a useful purpose to help scare them back into serving the people instead of the corporatocracy!)

i am so taken aback, i'm speechless

note to debbie:
I heard you on the Ed Schultz show. I absolutely cannot believe what i heard you saying. You are so wrong--SO WRONG. We want you to stand up and impeach Cheney. We want you to hold this administration to account. THAT IS THE PEOPLE'S BUSINESS AND YOU REFUSE TO DO IT. You are a complete and total disappointment to me. You should be ashamed of yourself. The fact that they "only have another year" DOES NOT JUSTIFY THE CRIMINAL BEHAVIOR, AND SHOULD NOT ALLOW THEM TO GET AWAY WITH IT!

anyone with an address in her district--i hope you contact her NOW!

She made her choice to throw down with a SIDE of the Dem party that shouldn't be an easy fit for her no matter how hard she tries.

The aide said "things are hectic around here." LOL.

I told them what "everybody but Congressional Democrats seems to know, that Bill Clinton got impeached, and though it wasn't successful, it cost the Democrats the White House!"

I mentioned rule of law, defending the Constitution, and hanging the Republicans out with investigations for months to expose their misdeeds and malfeasance.

All very friendly, y'know.

Thanks for the number.

In a separate note yesterday, I said if she doesn't catch on, I'll support whomever runs against her in a primary.

The only way anyone in Congress is going to get behind this is if there is any chance for conviction, which at this point is infinitesimal. that's the biggest worry, she's not saying it isn't warranted. The last thing we need is a Bush acquittal.

Immobilize them with the investigation - Don't drag it out, but if a legitimately thorough investigation takes the rest of this president's term, so be it.

50. Please explain how this would be a success...
Ed's argument seemd to be that we needed to actually get rid of Bush/Cheney (not just "make a statement") and that there was popular support for impeachment. There's also popular support fort S-CHIP and removal of the troops from Iraq, but Republicans are willing to block any action in the Congress. So, even if the House votes to impeach, the Senate will never vote to convict. Months of time will be spent by the House and Senate doing nothing else, Cheney will still be in office, and the Conservative media will trumpet the failure of the Senate vote as a "vindication" of the Bush/Cheney record.

they would refuse to impeach. The only way to inform the citizens is for the process to go ahead. No excuse for destroying our system of checks and balances is valid EVER. One is either for the constitution or they are against it. And don't begin to tell me it has been defended so far because of the so called oversight committees.

interview.

WHERE did the Iraq war some from?

WHERE did the energy policy (the one we don't really know much about) come from?

WHERE did a lot of the top 10 problems come from?

FROM CHENEY!!!

Impeachment of Cheney, and getting rid of him, won't solve all the problems, of course, but damn, at least it would stop him from continuing to create MORE.

67. Randi was great. They are friends, but it didn't stop her.

74. Heard that too.
That was also a great one.

75. I don't, but here's the link to his show site.
I know he does podcasts, but I think they cost $5.99 a month.

77. Yeah, that's what I looked for first, but didn't find one.
Maybe they will put it up later.

Definitely worth the listen.
