Congressman Steve Cohen deserves some DU love!

The Congressman from Tennessee is not only a member of the House Judiciary Subcommittee on the Constitution, Civil Rights and Civil Liberties, but is a COSPONSOR of H. Res. 333!

I always loved watching him twist the state legislature into knots with his bills. He's always been a maverick and a progressive. And he's smart. I wish we had Steve as our Congress Critter here in Nashville. But all we've got is a BushDog named Jim Cooper now.... {sighs deeply}

7. Steve went on Colbert Report to answer complaints he tried to join the Congressional Black Caucus

Since he represents Memphis, TN, I thought that was a perfectly acceptable thing to do to best represent his constituents.

The best part of that show was when Stephen Colbert asked Rep. Cohen if, deep down, he was a Black woman. Steve couldn't keep a straight face.

Way to go, Mr. Commodore.
