Are you concerned that al Qaeda will try to strike the U.S. during the holiday shopping season?
Ridiculous CNN poll.

Yes, I'm extremely worried Al Queda is going to strike when I'm shopping, because we all know OBL is fond of REI and Dick's Sporting Goods.

1. No, I am more worried about the freaks jockeying for parking spots
at the mall during the holidays. Some of them belong on the terrorist watchlist!

5. Who really has the extra money
to do much shopping? Not me. According to the early push
by stores towards xmas sales, it is a sure sign that consumer
spending is way down.
I see this as more of dumbya's convoluted thinking....."If you
don't spend money 'merika, Al kayda will bomb our malls. Be
patriotic, go out and shop."

6. I have inside information from Al Kader!
Their operatives will all be dressed in red suits and caps trimmed with white fake fur, and they will all be wearing fake white beards. Their suicide belts will be hidden by pretending to be very fat. They will lure small Christian children to gather around them, and then....

9. No. Baby strollers are my main concern.
I'm more afraid of tripping over a wheeled toddler device
and hurting a child than I am of a terrorist at the mall.

And I shop at the Pentagon mall.

14. Actually this is setting up an excuse for Bush
when the retail sales are in the toilet this year and there's no big hiring surge for the holiday. He can now blame the threats from Al-Qaida for making people afraid to shop. Because they hate us for our freedom to spend ourselves broke for state sponsored religious holidays.

18. Nope. But I wouldn't be a bit surprised if one of our own home-grown
terrorists chose this particular season to try to "make a statement."

Sad, isn't it?

I "fear" my fellow Americans much more than I "fear" al Qaeda operatives.

24. Not thinking of groups, I was thinking of individuals in the US who
perpetrate attacks on people in the US.

Timmy McVeigh is the most infamous who first who comes to mind. Then I remember the anthrax letters, still unsolved. And the freeper moran who sent white powder to several people.

I was thinking more along the lines of individual nutbars who think threats and violence are solutions or acceptable ways of "influencing" people.

I am pretty sure when they hit us again it will be a bigger target then a mall.

I also don't think there is anything we can do to stop the threat until we get a new president who has a clue on how to deal with other countries and make some peace.

I think we can limit the risk somewhat through good police work, but not alleviate it.

Stories like that one are simply there to instill fear in the public. The only threat is to the stability of the market if sales drop off even more then they already have.

25. Why this year?
They've missed the past six Christmases. Why suddenly come up with a terra attack for this one? Likewise their idiotic assumptions about every July 4, Super Bowl, etc. 911 was a stealth, sneaky thing, if there were to do it again, they would not make it on some obvious date, and not on 911 again, either.

CNN are hugh morans. Anybody can see how ridiculous their attempt to stir up fear of terra is.

Unless they strike the local thrift shop, I don't give a fig. I don't plan to buy anything (new) for the holidays. If I don't already have it, can't make it, or find it at a thrift store, it ain't happening.
