Mike Huckabee is the known Baptist preacher of the bunch. It seems he would have found a more common ground with him than Guili. What a weird bunch they are:crazy:

Easy choice for Pat.

3. Why would Pat back a loser? He wants to be close to power. And Hucky's ethics
aren't much better than Pat's.

5. You would think that "Christian" Pat Robertson would be wanting to put his support
behind the "Pro-Life" candidate ... not the "Pro-Life because I want to be elected President, not mayor" candidate ...

9. I imagine
Pat could give a bleep about Christianity. It's only a tool for him to obtain, maintain power and money. Power and money are what Pat really cares about and Guiliani has a much better chance at helping Pat politically than Huckabee.

11. Pat Robertson has always done anything to get close to power.
Witness his business dealings with Zaire's Mobutu, one of Africa's most brutal and corrupt dictators (and that's saying something), who was installed with the help of, surprise!, the CIA in 1964. He tried to remake Mobutu's image in the US so he could continue with his scam of diamond mine operations. He used jets, paid for under his 'Operation Blessing' by gullible donors, to ferry equipment and supplies to and from the mines. Amazingly, his scam still lost money and was abandoned. He's got plenty of scams besides this one. Most nice and tax-exempt.

"In April, 1997 two pilots who worked for Operation Blessing charged that planes linked to Robertson and his ministry flew mostly to haul equipment for ADC's private diamond operation. Robert Hinkle, the chief pilot told reporter Bill Sizemore that of about 40 flights within Zaire during the half-year period he was there, "Only one or at most two" were related to the humanitarian mission of Operation Blessing. The rest were "mining-related."

Oh, he also sold his off his Family Channel to who? Rupert Murdoch, of course; that paragon of family values. It's where he could get the most money. He's nothing but an old fashioned con man. And the highly religious types that support him block anything that smacks of rational thought, so they're sitting ducks. This site also has a nice summary of the 'man of God'.

"Ultimately, one is struck by the constant use of non-profit, donor money used to fund Pat's schemes, and the total lack of ethics that this man has. Anyone thinking about sending money to CBN to "promote the gospel" should definitely take note; chances are that your money will end up being used to increase the fortune of one Marion "Pat" Robertson instead."
