Information if You Want it

Hey folks I thought I would make a posting her and give you some facts about me and my website.

My name is Steve Senti, I worked at International Paper Company from 9-6-78 to 8-2-95. I did heavy lifting manual labor job for 17 years. In 1984 I hurt my back on the job, I had a pinched sciatic nerve and a slipped disk in my lower back.

I had an MRI and was referred to an orthopedic surgeon. I had surgery in 1985, an L-5 Laminectomy. He cut me open like a fish with an 8 to 10 inch opening in my back, then he shaved off the part of my disk that was pinching the sciatic nerve. I spent 7 days in the hospital after the surgery, then I was off work for a year.

I returned to work in 1986 and worked in pain for 9 more years, until I could not stand it anymore. I quit my job because of the back and leg pain I was having. I tried physical therapy etc, and nothing made it better.

Then in 2000 someone told me I should file for soc. sec. disability, I would have filed sooner but I didnt even know I could get it.

I have been unable to work since 1995, and the reason I have not been around here lately is because I have been sick off and on and busy working on my website. I had GERD, it's Gastroesophageal reflux disease. And during that time I lost 50 pounds because I was not eating.

I also have high blood pressure and type 1 diabetes, I am currently in a free clinic program that gives me free medication, or I would not be able to get it because I dont have the money to pay for it.

I cant work and I cant get disability, and my dad supports me 100 percent. He is 82 years old, and lives on a fixed income, about $1,300 a month, and he still pays a house payment and a car payment. Most of the time his money dont even last a full month. Then we live on soup and grilled cheese sandwiches. And once in a while my brother gives us some food, he is the manager of a restaurant.

If not for my dad I would possibly be homeless, unless my brother would let me live with him. If he passes away I dont know what I will do.

I have even tried to find a job I could do with my bad back and nobody will hire me. I can not do any repeated heavy lifting, or sit or stand for too long or I get back pain and leg pain.

So i'm basically screwed, and my dad barely makes enough to pay the monthly bills. That leaves me to raise enough money to pay for my website and to get money for food if I can.

I have run oreilly-sucks.com since 8-26-01, I do it for nothing. Nobody pays me a dime to run it.

And if anyone wants to see proof that I have a bad back and proof I filed a soc. sec. disability claim you can private message me ur name and address and i'll snail mail you proof.

I will mail you a page from the social security disability ruling the judge made in my case.

It's a 10 page written ruling from Judge John A. Wood, he was the administrative law judge for my case.

My hearing was on Thursday december 6th 2001, at 3:00pm. At the office of hearings and appeals, suite 110, hamilton square bldg. 300 hamilton blvd, peoria illinois. Then I got an attorney and spent almost 3 years filing appeals, and I lost all the appeals. I even wrote to Dick Durbin and asked him to help me, he got my case re-opened but then my claim was still denied.

On page 3 the judge wrote this.

"A medically determinable impairment or combination of impairments is severe if it significantly limits an individual's physical or mental ability to do basic work activities."

Then later in the same paragraph he wrote this.

"The claimant has a severe impairment as described below, which limits his ability to work."

Then later on page 3 he writes this.

"The claimant has not demonstrated the existence of an impairment, or combination of impairments, that meets the criteria of any listed impairment in Appendix 1, Subpart P, Regulation No. 4."

So in one paragraph he says I have a severe impairment, then 2 paragraphs later he says it is not severe enough to meet their criteria for soc. sec. disability. And he based that ruling on the 10 minute exam they had their phony doctor give me, the doctor who is on their payroll. Even though my doctor said I was disabled, the judge went by what the doctor the soc. sec. department had me go to.

I can quote more if you want me to, and mail you a copy of the ruling if you want it.

I dont want anyone to think I am a lying crook trying to scam people. That's why I made this posting. So if the mods or skinner want to delete this or delete me and ban me then you do what you have to.

Skinner knows me, so he knows what I have been dealing with, and many other regulars here know me. I have been here off and on since 2001, I was here when this place had 2,000 members.

So I just wanted to clear my name for anyone that had any doubts. If you need to know more I welcome any replies to this or private messages.

Steve
