First, they redefined torture
now, they're redefining privacy.

next, they'll redefine free and fair elections.

5. I'm no mind reader
Nor do I wish to be.

Your cryptic jab leaves me singularly unimpressed.

8. a minority, the DLC is attempting to marginalize the majority
and attract republican voters in the process.
In other words, they are dismissing the base and pandering to the right.

They keep claiming that what the majority of democrats want: end to the war in Iraq, impeachment, are fringe issues.

is that clearer?

10. Quite clear. Thanks
I am aware of this constant lean to the right, and disapprove of it.

I just don't like to assume that I understand what people mean when they speak of change in general.

13. Eventually the Democratic base will get tired of being
taken to the dance and thusly ignored.

You are correct. The DLC and their various enablers considers the war and impeachment "fringe" issues. I find that criminal.

15. You are assuming that the base is enough to win election
Edited on Tue Nov-13-07 10:59 AM by Freddie Stubbs
And in some districts it is. But in swing states and districts, neither party can win with getting votes from those in the middle.

3. Fair elections were redefined in Florida 2000, illegal spying redefined privacy
in 2001. We need to redefine impeachment with a 2-fer. Impeach Bush and Cheney.

6. Those types of redefinitions pretty much come under the heading of Fascism
and I think in 2000 and 2004 they already did redefine the "fair" part re: elections.

7. I'm thinking Pakistani style free and fair elections.
After all, like Pakistan, we have a growing threat posed by freedom hating meanies.
