Romney: Adam and Eve looked slutty

OK, that's not quite what he said, but still...the former Massachusetts Governor (and current Iowa and New Hampshire GOP frontrunner) made an odd joke, it seemed to me, while campaigning in New Hampshire today, reports ABC News' ace cub reporter Matt Stuart

At one young couple's house, Romney remarked at the large leaves on their tree, quipping, "Adam and Eve would not have looked as promiscuous if they had had leaves this big."

Huh? Adam and Eve looked promiscuous? Adam and Eve were naked. (Before eating from the Tree of Knowledge, that is, after which they became ashamed of their nakedness.)

Does naked = promiscuous? Asked what he meant, a Romney spokesman told Stuart he meant what he said.

We modern earthlings assume there WERE no leaf-blowers in Eden, but God is great and if he wanted there to be leaf-blowers in Eden there by god WOULD be.

That would suggest that a lust-driven wielder of a leaf-blower could have blown away the leaves from Adam's and Eve's special regions, thus leaving them buck naked in Paradise. My first thought is, if you can't be buck naked in Paradise, what's the point of a Paradise?

Romney claims Adam and Eve needed larger leaves. Perhaps this is a veiled insult to God. God should have made Adam and Eve with smaller special regions to accommodate the small leaves Governor Romeny so objects to. Is he saying God has a quality control problem with leaves? Why blame the damn leaves? What did they ever do to Governor Romney?

Indeed, ladies and gentlemen, what did leaves ever do to anyone? And don't give me this "They clog up my eaves troughs in November" bullshit. I don't want to hear it. The leaves were there before your damn eaves troughs. Get with the program.
