A Scarecrow’s Song
(Song to the tune of the Scarecrow’s Song in the Wizard of Oz)
We could while away the hours,
conferrin' bout the Towers
Consultin' with the Man.
And my head I'd be scratchin'
while my thoughts were busy hatchin'
If I only had a brain.
I'd unravel every riddle
of all the lying drivel,
In our fear and in our pain.
(Dorothy)
With the thoughts that you'll be thinkin'
you could see it clearly linked with
If you only had a brain.
(Chorus)
Oh, I
could tell you why
No threats came from that shore.
I could think of things I never thunk before.
Iraq you’d say,
Id say no more.
I would not be just a nothin'
my head all full of stuffin'
My heart all full of pain.
I would march and I’d be wary
life would be a fearless journey,
If I only had a brain.......
The End.
And Here’s a thought. to chew on.
If we can afford to Kill, We can afford to Heal
World military spending in 2005 reached $1.12 trillion with the U.S. accounting for almost half. NATO allies make up another 23% of spending, while Japan, S. Korea and Australia make up another 7% (included in the rest of the world slice). While accurate data for 2005 is not available for some of the countries labeled as the 'axis of evil' by the administration, it is likely that these countries - Cuba, Iran, Libya, N. Korea, Sudan and Syria make up only around 1% of world

The Costs of War in Iraq The Entire U.S share.
$468,007,312,817.00
How else could we have spent that money here in the United States ?
Other possibilities for U.S Residents ....
Instead, We could have built 4,214,097 additional Housing Units.
We could have hired 8,110,878 additional Public School Teachers for one year
Instead, We could have paid for 61,989,687 children to attend a year of Head Start.
We could have Insured 280,252,838 children for one year.
Instead, We could have provided 22,688,696 students Four-Year Scholarships at public universities.
We could have achieved a balanced mixture of all the above
And STILL provide sustainable Tax Relief for all of its citizens.
That is ......If only we had a brain. : (
It’s Veterans Day
No one knows better the cost and waste of war than a Veteran.
No one loves peace more than a Veteran
No one sacrificed more than a veteran
No one knows more about these things than a veteran
Speak to a veteran today and tell him thank you for all we have.
Happy Veterans Day
