I read about the Powerup but still don't know how it works. Guess it takes a huge donation.

9. I just keep imagining what good
that money could do some very poor souls right now instead of playing the fuck the candidate board game.

The only thing it shows is what a waste the money game that is so representative of our system is. Something we should all be getting sick of.

Ridiculous, even if it was meant in fun. Not getting a penny out of me for this one.

16. I apologize.
I'm not always like that. Unfortunately, I just came back from meeting with a group that organizes donation and food drives for the poor at thanksgiving and christmas time. Things are looking incredibly dismal this year.

I have more productive ways of dealing with it than bringing everyone else down. Unfortunately I let my fingers get away from me.

15. In case you may not have noticed, yet...
there are many DUers who need DU to help them cope with the current insanity of the whole impoverishing charade out there.

And there are many other sites (or 3D-world groups) that exist exclusively for the purposes of helping the poor.

It's good to know, however, that we're always free to donate to any good causes of our liking.

Obama +353 -609 ... loss of 256
Clinton +1897 ... gain of 1897
Edwards -1897 ... loss of 1897

Seems close to "real life" ... money buys votes (more money gets bigger discounts) and the anti-corporatists get hosed the most.
