Damn. Then Fox-head wannabe Howard Kurtz has to show up and make an ass of himself. The second someone (Jennifer Posner) mentions why Phil Donahue got canned, he tries to cut her off. But Medved is the marvel in this clip. He recognizes the business smarts of MSNBC pitching to a liberal audience. Of course ex-Reaganite Dan Abrams and South Park Republican Joe Scarborough hardly make this a liberal network just because they call the idiot an idiot.

But larger point is that Medved acted like a grown up for once. I've never had a problem with a conservative viewpoint being blasted over the air at me. It's the utter lack of representation of the balancing perspective from people who are not insane that's been bad for the country. Kurtz's "liberal" label on MSNBC seems to rest on the premise that the Republican commentators on that network think for themselves.

2. Maybe referring to his father? But, if so, that is incorrect as well..

5. Yes...
I had to go and check to make sure he hadn't tried a case on behalf of any REPUG administration before the Supreme Court. To my knowledge, he has not. A very well thought of constitutional lawyer, however...

3. see, now I feel stoopid
For the past 6 years I've been getting him confused with Elliot Abrams. I just assumed they were the same person.

I didn't just now mean to use the word "assume" by the way.

9. Regarding Michael Medved, these are probably his most reasonable remarks in a long time.
I'm surprised he said Fox News is on the right and MSNBC is going left and CNN is in the middle.

The usual conservative argument is that Fox News is "fair and balanced" and every other channel is liberal, including CNN.

11. you all missed Medved's ingenious attempt to smear MSNBC
he said MSNBC is turning into the liberal network, like Fox News is the conservative. ie. we don't get the truth from either one, is what he is saying. But he only says that because he is well aware that the general public no longer consider Fox News truthful, so he only compares the two in order to smear MSNBC, by implying they aren't truthful, either. The way I see it however, is that MSNBC's reporters like Keith tell the truth, while Fox News doesn't. So Medved is merely being his stupid old self, after all.
