PBS: "JUDGMENT DAY: Intelligent Design on Trial" 11/13/07

This two-hour documentary focuses on the controversy over teaching so-called "Intelligent Design" or ID in public school classrooms as an "alternative" to evolution. It examines the seminal legal test of this practice, the 2005 trial in KITZMILLER, ET. AL v. DOVER SCHOOL DISTRICT where parents sued the Dover, Pennsylvania schools for ordering teachers to read a "disclaimer statement" that there were significant gaps in current evolutionary instruction. The parents argued that despite its scientific vernacular and veneer, "ID" was simply a religious doctrine.

The judge in the case agreed.

I wanna see some intellectual try to tell me it's NOT angels pulling everything down.

and the stars are really pinholes in the sky. And the moon landing was faked. Given his typical fundamentalist mindset, don't expect "intelligent" creation to go away anytime soon.

I would think law suits should start flying if any school districts adopt this "Belief" which is in no way scientific theory..
