Why should the world fund our debt by investing in the dollar?

If Bush is only going to allow that money to be spent on unchecked U.S. aggression in the world...

Impeach now. End the war, spend our borrowed dollars on recovery, and humanitarian needs.

We're still the world's biggest consumers. Over and above all the money that cheney and his hirelings waste on wat. We spend untold brazillions of dollars on shit thats made in China and keep their economy growing I(even as ours is imploding).

2. I'll take a stab at it here....

If a foreign power invests heavily in the US, then wouldn't it have access to our military? Just think if you're a third-world power with a booming economy, you could "invest" in the U.S., then if any other power threatens you, you could call on the U.S. military to intervene. Isn't this what happened with the Saudis who wanted Saddam out of office?

...unchecked U.S. aggression in the world... Of course, there's the ol' "buying protection" scam. Invest in the U.S. and he'll leave you alone!

Just a thought or two...
