1. I feel the same way about some of the other candidates supporters
They scare the shit out of me because they are so WILLING to be led like sheep to the slaughter.
At least the die hard Gore supporters KNOW what we need...there is nothing wrong with being hopeful.
There is something VERY wrong with being complicit.
I'll take hopeful any day of the week and twice on Sunday.

9. Ahhh, so the ones who accept that he isn't running are being lead
like sheep and don't know what we need for change.

And being complicit means not being a Gore supporter to the very end? That's a very odd statement.

Hopefulness is usually based on a thread of reality.

I don't see it here when Gore has clearly stated that "he has no plans to run". I have enough respect for the man to take him at his word. Trying to find the secret message via the political decoding ring is just plain weird at this point.

I'm just not for trashing the people that are still hoping. Big difference.
They aren't nearly as "scary" as the ones who are willing to follow the corporate candidates down the rabbit hole.

And given the field of "front runners" (in national polls, not the DU fun drive. Go, Dennis, go!), I can share their desperation.

8. Didn't Gore just EXPLICITLY say he had not yet issued a "Sherman statement".
IMHO he is keeping the door open for a FUTURE run, but 2008 is pretty much out.

Any time he wants to run, he's got my vote.

17. I have changed my mind
if al gore was a serious and as up front as we thought he was he would have let us know his position along time ago. IMHO because of his actions versus what he says (his recent videos with his positions, his constant hinting at what he might do versus his consistant "maybe i am, maybe i am not") IMHO he is playing with us or using his sway as a political tool which is not cool with me. I want a POTUS that does not have to play games or use subversive means to win over the hearts and minds. That is why kucinich has my vote in the primaries even if gore declares.

33. I (Heart) Al Gore!!
How can you fault someone who's dealing w/ the many challenges facing our civilization, deciding not to throw his hat in the ring at least a year before the election. This silly race started back in April! I'm happy that Vice President Gore has not yet declared to became part of this ridiculous freak show. If he choses to run, I'll support him. I feel that he's the best person for the job.

If one of the current "front runners" get the nomination, I will work much harder for 3rd party options.
