He seemed pretty darn happy. I wish I shared his joy. Here's a snippet of the letter:

From: democraticparty@democrats.org Subject: Fwd: Post-Election Memo
Dear Teresa, I had to show you this memo that went around headquarters last week.
One key line:
If Democrats continue to show up everywhere, run on our values, and offer clear solutions on the critical issues, the clear lesson of 2007 is that Democrats are well-positioned to win anywhere in 2008.
snipped (prior to the obligatory request for my money)
And here's my answer to my Party, in the vein of Martin Luther:
Here's the question I have - Do they deserve to win everywhere? In the last 12 months Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid have done everything in their power to reinstate the oft heard lament that the Democrats and Republicans are just two heads of a hydra. Yes, the Democrats are still the lesser of two evils but come on, we can do better. Until impeachment of the treasoners in the White House commences and true progress toward withdrawal from Iraq begins, I'm uninclined to remain engaged in the political process because, frankly, it's obvious I'm not part of the process!
I'm fairly sure your grassroots coalition, myself included, will do the Democratic party will, this time, if only to remove the obscene power of Senator Lieberman and to remove the last excuse of the Vichy Congress regarding their impotency based on their slim margins (that never, ever stopped the Republicans, BTW). But after that, they need to begin to listen to us or we will turn away.
I doubt anyone will read this (haven't gotten any indication that any prior communications with any of my Party members has been heard) but the Party really, really, really needs to hear this. You've got us this time because there isn't another choice but change from within or we will leave this Party. Consider this a warning nailed to the Democratic Party door!!!!
