NECK DEEP IN SHALLOW WATER
the puzzle never completes itself. bones lining up end on end, protruding at angles god never intended. sub-standard and disfigured.

I apologize for everything that I cannot be.
For the smile I cannot bring to your face.
For the intrigue I cannot make you feel.
For the golden god I cannot become.
For the mystery that is not me.

i bite my tongue and wish i was beautiful. shapeless, if nothing more. behind this skin is my world, and if you could see inside you'd drown in what i feel. run your fingers through my heart and ask me what it means.

It sounds like Buddha. but perhaps not. Whoever wrote this is at least a minor Buddha.
