So US Bishops want me to vote Dem?
Roman Catholics voting in the 2008 elections must heed church teaching when deciding which candidates and policies to support, U.S. bishops said Wednesday. And while the church recognizes the importance of a wide range of issues — from war to immigration to poverty — fighting abortion should be a priority, the bishops said. "The direct and intentional destruction of innocent human life is always wrong and is not just one issue among many," the bishops said.

Destruction of innocent human life is wrong and won't go away. Oh good that means I can vote for the Anti-war candidate that's for getting out of the invasion and occupation of a foreign country filled with people that never threaten to attach me. Oh and for the candidate that for health care for all Americans so living humans can stop being destroyed because they can't afford to be cured. And at the same time not worry about that pesky abortion topic because pro-choice means I can safely choose not to have an abortion and thus avoid destroying innocent life. Thanks catholic church.

1. I really don't mean to offend, but they are such hypocrites on this
Where are they going to find a anti-war, anti-choice candidate? So cells outrank actual humans being killed in wars?

5. Hey! Catholic-bashing! Cool. Catholicism is the only NON-hypocritical
religion, from a doctrine standpoint--it values life, and the possibility of life, in all forms, from conception to death. This means opposing birth control, abortion, the death penalty, euthanasia, war, and poverty. Sometimes its teachings create some real dilemmas for its followers, but it's not a religion for the faint-hearted.

6. I don't give a rat's ass what any Catholic Bishop has to say...
and I was raised as a Catholic.

It is refreshing to know that in between abusing young boys and shuffling pedophile priests around that they can still find time to try and portray themselves as some 'beacon of morality' in this world.
