DIRTY TRICK: Novak Gossip - Clinton has the goods on Obama
Novak Gossip - Clinton has the goods on Obama

The Clinton team leaks to Robert Novak, knowing that he'll print anything.

Agents of Sen. Hillary Clinton are spreading the word in Democratic circles that she has scandalous information about her principal opponent for the party's presidential nomination, Sen. Barack Obama, but has decided not to use it. The nature of the alleged scandal was not disclosed. http://www.humanevents.com/article.php?id=23467

Brilliant, if you think about it. The insider conversation now turns to negative Obama speculation and makes Clinton appear above everyone else, even if there's nothing there.

It also puts Obama in a spot because now he has to keep making attacks (which may be damaging him as well) or tacitly admit to this dark secret so horrible that it cannot even be mentioned.

The Clinton team is really good.

1. The Clinton team is not real good, but really good at playing dirty
using the Rove play book. If this is true, I don't want to hear another freaking whimper from the Clintons on how they were treated by the Rs. Ever again.

8. Please. Taking Novacula's word on anything
is a piss poor idea. He's a proven liar, and loves stiring up shit for dems. This may or may not be true, but we shouldn't jump to conclusions based on Novack.

6. It is possible
that what Mr. Novak is reporting is accurate, and that someone with some connection to the Clinton campaign said that Senator Clinton has some information on Senator O'Bama. It is also possible that Mr. Novak is full of baloney, and that someone closer to his republican masters planted this story.

Beware of everything you read in the news. That should be especially true when we read something from Robert Novak, an insane troll who wants desperately to be taken seriously after his fall from grace in 2003. Likewise, people should be careful not to accept something as true, simply because they are predisposed to believing the best or worst about a public figure.

9. Let me guess here............
Novak knows that Obama once worked for the CIA as a covert officer?

Am I right?

Over the years Novak has lied more than Bush. He can claim that this info, which he "can't disclose", came from the Clinton camp, but do you really believe him? He can say it, but that doesn't make it so.

This kind of politics turns people off. How childish on the part of Clinton. This is presidential behavior? I would hope we have seen enough of this shit to last a lifetime.

14. I mean it is Novak for God' Sake.
I don't support Clinton and I don't support Obama. DK. But look at it. First, it makes Obama look bad for the above mentioned reasons. Then it makes Clinton look bad because her "agents" - who? Boris and Natasha? - are spreading the info.

So the Republicans get a twofer - Obama because he has some "secret" which, of course, can't be revealed. And Clinton because she - sorry, her "agents" - have "revealed,"not the secret but that there is a secret.

Even if there is a "secret" - and I take that with a grain of salt about the size of Lot's wife - and even if Clinton "agents" are spreading it, which I also highly doubt, just because it is so bloody clumbsy and obvious ( and also, and I really don't like Clinton as a choice, but I don't think any of our dems are going to go that route ethically), it divides the dems, and gets everyone distracted. And really, who cares.

Scandal? This is like telling a person "don't think about giraffes."

I mean it is Novak.

21. Isn't this bit of information
almost the same as leaking the information? Especially if said information isn't as big or as bad as the Clinton team would hope. Now they are instilling doubt about some people's candidate, and leaking that they have information can be just as destructive.

27. How does this make Hillary look good?
She has her campaign doing a whispering smear campaign while she pretends she's above negative politics? If you ask me it shows the world just how near the Karl Rove ideology Mark Penn is, and shows her to be pretty hypocritical. Think of it. She's pulling this crap on a member of her own party. She whines about mud slinging when she is doing even worse behind the scenes! She's not only a hypocrite but she hasn't got the courage or integrity to do it openly. And John Edwards gets booed when he calls her out for what she is?

35. Obama needs to confront Hillary on this and make her either face up to it or deny it....
THere is only one way to defend against a malicious 'whisper campaign.' You go to the source of the reported 'whisper' and demand they either deny it or provide proof to back it up.

If the topic of the 'whisper campaign' is legitimate, you know it is eventually going to come out before the Nominee is chosen --and the closer to that date the worse for Obama. Better to get it out in the open and deal with it NOW, NOT LATER.

It shows leadership, honesty, integrity, and decisiveness to face this kind of 'dirty trick' head on and deal with it.

Novak is scum, and would like nothing better than to destroy Democrats. So you ask, Why is he helping Hillary here? A good question every Democrat should ask. THe answer is too obvious.
