Joe Biden claims to be one of the poorest senators in Washington.
He has more Worldly experience than all the rest of our candidates combined, (except Bill Richardson). Both of them would, in my opinion, be great presidents. These type of candidates understand what Americans need, and will act on, our new direction for our country. I am still not convinced of any of our candidates. The only thing i am convinced of is that all of our candidates are better than the republican war party.

Please all of you have a nice holiday and if you can please write a check to you local homeless shelter.

Peace
PWB

1. You mean "least wealthy"
At $165,200 per year PLUS generous benefits, NOBODY in the Senate is living on food stamps.

13. everyday when the Senate is in session. What's so
extraordinary about that? He takes the train. Millions of people do. After all he lives in Wilmington,DE.

From his website:

Senator Biden lives in Wilmington, Delaware and commutes to Washington, DC when the Senate is in session.

2. I didn't know that
it speaks volumes if that is true even after all these years as a congress critter and he didn't take advantage of it to enrich himself. pretty much puts him at the top of the list for me, right up there with Dennis Kucinich and Bill Richardson. what about Dodd, as I kind of like him too?

8. for many good reasons
Maybe because he is not in the pocket of the NAFTA backers-- I see that Hill wants to extend this-- or maybe because he is not part of the rich lecture circuit speaking to all the CE0s , like Bill, and maybe because he keeps his focus on his job. And the shame is that even though he had the most concrete and thoughtful answers during the last debate, we still have to focus on the media front runners as America once again elects a slogan.

10. America elects a slogan
I really like that.

It is so discouraging to hear all these pundits focus on the top 3. They try to say it's because of the money they raised. I think it's more about the media focus that transfers into that money given to the frontrunners. They've been talking up Hillary since her husband left office. The media has also been talking up Obama since he gave the speech at the convention.

11. Also he commutes to and from work on Amtrak
Someone at DU saw him on a Southwest Airlines flight during his campaign. He sold his house to pay for his three kids college tuition. This is a man who could have "played the game" and made the big bucks, but put family and public service first. In thirty five years he refused to meet with any lobbyists as well.
