Bush wants Congress to listen to his 'military commanders' instead of the American people
Bush in his radio address this weekend: http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2007/11/20071117.html

"We do not need members of Congress telling our commanders what to do. We need Congress listening to our military commanders and giving them what they need to win the war against extremists and radicals. "

2. The problem is...
the military commanders have been
sent out on a strategic stupid mission.
Their job is to succeed, no matter how
hairbrained the idea is.

The person who should be strapped down
before congress to defend the war is Bush.
He can dodge all he wants but this fiasco
of a war plan is ALL HIS.

3. Wow--civilian control of the military must now be as quaint and antiquated to
BushCo as the Geneva Conventions. I hope to GOD someone in our Dem Congress was listening to this and raises holy hell--this kind of language is egregious.

4. The whole reason our republic has survived as long as it has
is that the fucking military commanders have to listen to congress because congress represents the people. We're in trouble now because congress, the military commanders and the boy king have all bought the cheney line. Somebody around here needs to grow a spine.

Congress needs to tell bush to tell his commanders to make do with what they give them and then start dryin up the funding. Or just get the fuck out of Iraq now. And if won't shut up and live with what they give him, start impeachment proceedings.

5. That's rich,
the guy that doesn't listen to anyone regardless of how bad he is screwing everything up lecturing congress.

6. Which commanders does he want them to listen to
the ones who tell Congress about what was really going on in Iraq, or the commanders bush picked who tell the congress what he wants them to hear. Big difference.
