Saudi court increases punishment for rape VICTIM
http://thinkprogress.org/2007/11/17/saudi-court-increases-punishment-for-rape-victim/

Saudi court increases punishment for rape victim.

A 19-year old gang-rape victim saw her punishment increased by a Saudi court. The seven rapists had originally received sentences ranging from 10 months to five years in prison, but the victim’s lawyer challenged the sentencing as too light. A Saudi appeals court agreed and made the punishment two to nine years for the rapists. But the Saudi court also increased the punishment for the victim, who had originally received 90 lashes for “meeting with an unrelated male.” The court increased her punishment to six months in prison and 200 lashes. CNN reports:

The judges more than doubled the punishment for the victim because of “her attempt to aggravate and influence the judiciary through the media,” according to a source quoted by Arab News, an English-language Middle Eastern daily newspaper.

1. Now I see why the Bushies LOOOOOVE the Saudis.
The Saudis act as the Busheis WANT to act...and will get to act, eventually, unless they are stopped.

:silly: :silly:

For my next trick, I will conclusively prove to three decimal points the EXACT direction which the wind will blow in my backyard.

Ready....? One... Two... Three...

:silly: :silly:

Oh, wait. I can "prove" that the Bushies love the Saudis.

Get a room, you two!

:silly: :silly:

10. Well, I can't "prove" what's in people's hearts.
For the proof, we will ahve to wait until the Penultimate and Final Pahses of the Bushies' tranisitioning of America from democratic-republic to BushPutininst (New Totalitarian) Tyranny, THEN see how they act after they have unchecked power for a few years.

Jerry Falwell? Pat Robertson? Ted Haggard? You think any of them have more evolved views on women than the Saudi Fundamentalists? These men who yearn for a nation ruled by the Bible, not the Constsitution, you think that they don't harbor in their hearts a beautiful medeval world where God was all powerful and liberals were tortured and burning at the stake (STFU, you Liberals!)?

No, I can't prove that to three decimal places any more than I could prove my other assertion of Bushie-Saudi love.

But you should Google "Christian Reconstructionism" which shows just a tiny peak into what the Bushies would like to do once they rule with fully unchecked power. Plus, Chistian Reconstructionists count our votes (Dieblod and ES & S) and now staff important posts in our Bushie Ministry of InJustice, where the main mission of the Department of Civil Rights is to prevent minorities from registering and voting by criminalizing the innocent.

In truth, no one can predict the exact details, but when the lethal Union of medevally-configured weak minds are put in mental harness by High Social Dominators (as happened in Nazi Germany, the Soviet Union, and everywhere tyranny triumphs), it's going to be bad.

Please feel free to click on my signature links to further elaborate on the things I am saying.

4. I'm not sure what is being done for the victim, but...
...this cruelty towards the rape victim is just one example of human rights violations in the nation of Saudi Arabia. For all those who are looking for ways to end just injustice, here's a link to the Saudi Arabia page for Amnesty International.

Specifically on the treatment of women:
