Did Limbaugh stiff the charity?
With all the noise about the E-Bay sale while it was going on it seems really quiet now. I checked his web page and no mention of any presentation of "the letter" or a matching check to the charity. Don't you think a photo op and a bunch of bragging would be in order? I'll bet he choked on the amount and now is trying to keep things quiet.

Typical I'd say.

1. Just like Cheney's pledge to transfer his stock options in Halliburton
to charity. I haven't seen evidence of that actually happening, either.

It fits a pattern. Remember Stupid's generous pledge to fight HIV in Africa? Damned little of that got released, either.

They announce these huge donations. Then the press fails to follow up on whether or not it actually happened. It's just so typical of a lazy press.

"Well, let me tell you about the woman who was the high bidder on eBay. Her name was Betty Casey, and she's a philanthropist. She's a longtime listener to my radio program. We've not made the presentation of the letter to her yet because she's a widow. Her husband was a real estate developer, it turns out, in Maryland and Washington, and they own – or she now owns – Patrick Henry's original homestead. She's refurbishing it, and the Harry Reid smear letter is going to be presented there, and placed there when it gets ready.

"So we have it in a bank vault protecting it, making sure that nothing happens to it. The Marine Corps-Law Enforcement Foundation was the charity here, and they have received $4.2 million now from Betty Casey and from me. So it's a done deal. They have the money. We're just waiting for the work to get done at Patrick Henry's place to make the presentation."

An easy way to check would be to email the charity and ask, rather than making assumptions.

5. Does anyone know whether or not Rush gets to write this off of
his taxes for "charity"? I would think he would but I'm not positive.
