Edited on Tue Nov-20-07 07:59 PM by greenbriar
my kids have been really having fun with this

I had one student that asked "what do I get out of this"

I said

"increased vocabulary and the satisfaction that you are helping world hunger"

6. I don't remember but I will post later when I play it again!
Come on, people! Try it out, and send the link to kids and adults. The game automatically adjusts the words to fit your level of vocabulary. It's also great for those learning English as a new language!

9. Highly addictive
I got to level 47 and then my brain got all wore out, and my intuitive guesses went all to hell. But I'll be back, because it's nice to waste time and feed hungry people at the same time. Thanks for the link!

12. I made it to level 50, and even got a couple of them right - it took me 2700 grains of rice
I wonder how many grains of rice are in a bag...

Thanks for posting this!

Edited on Wed Nov-21-07 12:32 AM by Sabriel
And then it started repeating words. And frustratingly enough, I could never crack 48. Argh.

On edit: I knew reading all those Regency romances would pay off some day....

15. Guess what has been happening late at night in my bedroom..... yes we are addicted to vocabulary
games and are up to about 12000 grains of rice. I keep closing the window so we have to start again but we are stuck around the 44 level. We don't cheat but find latin really helps with the definitions.
