Dow industrials drop 127 in minutes after opening bell

BREAKING NEWS: Dow industrials drop 127 in minutes after opening bell
Wall Street plunged in early trading Tuesday, finding little to placate its worries about the wilting mortgage market ahead of Thanksgiving. The Dow Jones industrial average fell more than 100 points in the opening minutes.

The yield on the Treasury’s 10-year note fell below 4 percent as investors sought the safety of government securities.

The stock market has been thrashing around recently as investors attempt to gauge how companies around the world will fare amid a further slowdown in the U.S. housing market, deterioration of credit and record oil prices that crested overnight above $99 a barrel.

Stocks open sharply lower as oil nears $100/bbl
Stocks opened sharply lower Wednesday, with a continued slump in the dollar and a barrel of oil near $100 encouraging investors to get out of stocks before the Thanksgiving holiday.

You know you can have full confidence in Americer -- smirk, snark -- with me at the helm as The War President. I vow to make war on those who make war on our cashmoneybucks. They are Evil Doers. Smirk, Snark, smirk.

"I am the Commander Guy. Smirk

"So all you noisy proles can rest easy about this economic wobble shit. In fact, why don't you just shut up and sit down.

" And remember, a rising tide lifts all yachts. Smirk, snark, smirk."

4. Commander Bunnypants does NOT say "Smirk, smirk smirk"
He says "Heh, heh, heh."

Golly, and the Dow soared over 13,000 just yesterday. Okay, it was at 14,000 last month. And if we had the Clinton economy still operating, the Dow would be over 20,000 and we'd still have a middle class. But golly, it's like we started two wars and doubled the national debt for nothing but to funnel some more money into some already overstuffed pockets. Oh, and all those deaths. Don't forget all the hundreds of thousands of people killed. Never forget them.

5. I'm sure the constant up tick of the price of a barrel of oil and the
continuing slump of the dollar have greatly effected the stock market. I can't help but wonder how much Scotty's revelations have effected today's market.

All I do know is what's happening in my life. Yesterday I saw the rise of prices at the grocery store as indicative of the economic state of citizens. Turkey was $2.29/pound! Unreal.
