Watch this:

If when you finish watching disk 5, you don't find the thought of participating in Black Friday's suicidal consumerist binge a tad revolting, then we need to talk.

By the way... If you have not seen "PLANET EARTH", you owe it to yourself to watch it. It is by far one of the most amazing :wow: collections of images ever filmed. The production is simply astounding, and you cannot help but be changed by it.

Oh, and HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!!!

1. I'm thinking about making homemade "beauty"/spa treatment
products for presents this year, along with a basket of other homemade goodies like pepper jelly, preserves, and interesting cookies. I won't go NEAR the malls whatsoever.

2. I have seen one of these DVDs in a geogrpahy class when I subbed.
I highly reccomend the series.

The disc I saw was incredible. The photography was like a crystal clear day, beautiful.

The narration was unobtrusive and helpful in placing the scenes.

I could wax quite hyperbolic regarding this set, but I'll spare you and just concur with and reccomend your post.

As far as the consumerist binge: If there's something you're going to buy, and it's cheaper on Black Friday, buy it then.

If you buy stuff you don't need, just because it's on sale, then you've taken their bait.

7. I have never participated in Black Friday.
The only stuff I'll buy on that day are the daily basics like cigs, a take out meal, cat food, etc.

begin to esplain how AMAZING "Planet Earth" is.
It took years to make. 5 if I recall correctly.
We purchased the set as soon as it was released.
It is a 'Must See'!
