I spent last night with Edwards, Browne and Raitt.
I attended a John Edwards event last night with Jackson Browne and Bonnie Raitt. See pic below.

I have seen John Edwards speak dozens of times. It is one of the great things about living in the metropolitan Des Moines area of Iowa. I heard the best (just ask James Carville) stump speech in December 2003. It was the two Americas speech by Edwards. I really didn't think it was possible to ever hear anything as inspiring as I heard then.

Until last night.

I have no words to describe how great this evening was, except it IT WAS!

I have no words to describe how inspired I am by John Edwards, except, I AM!

Do you want to know where John Edwards stands on the issues that matter to most to us?

Visit http://johnedwards.com/issues/

You won't have to guess where John Edwards stands on these issues. It's all there. Do you disagree with him on these issues? OK, well at least you don't have to guess where he stands.

Do we want change in our country? Really? Do we want BOLD...TRANSFORMATIONAL...CHANGE?

Do we? Then stand with me and support John Edwards!

2.  I wish everyone could have been there!
It was magnificent! Really!

The best part was that there were many undecided voters in attendance. Hopefully they are no longer undecided!

I went with my hubby who recently changed his voter registration to Democratic so he can caucus for Edwards. After last night's event, he called his dad - a die hard Republican - and almost has him convinced to switch to a Democrat so he can caucus for Edwards too!

Now...what candidate crosses party lines??!!

3. I love John Edwards!
I also love Bonnie Raitt, and I love Jackson Browne.

I also love Dennis Kucinich. I also love Dodd. I also love Obama. I like the rest of the candidates, but I couldn't say that I "love" them.

To be honest, I think that any of the Democratic Candidates would make an excellent President. On the other hand, I think that any of the Republican candidates would make a terrible President.

I say this as an Independent. My last choice would be Hillary - but even so she is so far above all of the Republican choices that I would have no problem voting for her against anything the Republicans have presented.

Personally, I want to vote for Al Gore. If not Al, then Dennis. If not Dennis, then Edwards. But, if the final choice comes down to Hillary or Ghouliano- no brainer: Hillary.

6. Thanks, OC.
It's odd to me that my little state..Iowa..gets so much attention when choosing our next President. I just hope we get it right.

7. One of the best arguments for Edwards, in my opinion, is that I think I KNOW
Edited on Wed Nov-21-07 11:27 PM by 1932
what Edwards is going to try to do when he becomes president (and I agree with all of it). Clinton or Obama might end up being OK presidents, but I really have no idea what the organizing principles would be for their administrations.

I want to have a Democrat elected who wants to be judged a success or failure based on whether he or she achieves the sorts of things Edwards is asking to be measured by.

14. I love the quote in your signature line.
It reminds me of the truth that Edwards is telling us.

The system is rigged and corrupt.

This truth is pissing a lot of people off, isn't it? Every Democrat should be cheering and clapping loudly over this, yet I hear some who either don't want to believe it, or have become so cynical that they laugh it off. I guess it is just easier to kill the messenger than to fix the problems stated in the message.

13. It was wonderful. I'm still on a high from it.
They were both so good. I was looking forward to seeing Jackson Browne the most and found myself in total awe over the talent of Bonnie Raitt.

I am proud to support the same candidate that they do!

15. I saw Bonnie Raitt at the Minnesota State Fair the day after Stevie Ray Vaughn died
I have to say it was the most moving and emotional concert I have ever been to. We were all crying our eyes out.

12. Edwards really is unique and he would bring 'real change' to Washington for all of us...
I will vote for whoever becomes the DEM Nominee, but we will miss a golden opportunity if we do not elect Edwards.

This country needs transformational change more than ever.

Good luck caucusing in Iowa!

18. How superficial and shallow is it to say how hot he looks in that picture?
OK, I campaigned for him before Kerry got the nod last time round and I know he's full of substance. But I just had to remark he's easy on the eyes, too; and after Shrubya, that ain't nothin to scoff at.

(is that sexist?) Sue me :-)
