3. Jeez, I miss the Weekly World News.
I had to spend a l-o-n-g time in line at the supermarket today - stocking up on groceries like everybody else. The pickings are slim on the magazine racks. Oodles of fatuous celeb scandals. And Newsweek seems to get more wing-nut every day: they use to at least offer Barbara Ehrenreich on occasion.

I long for the days of Bat Boy and Alien Baby.

2. Well that is news on AP's part because I was expecting
shoppers to seek out higher priced stores with gas being so cheap and who could possibly imagine Iran having influence in their next door neighbor Iraq. I'm thankful about one thing I was worried for a while there, that retailers would make the mistake of focusing on Easter and that just wouldn't be good marketing this time of year.

On a serious note, thanks to Reuters for their work.

Thanks for the thread, Bucky.
