Government agencies need to do more to become "GREEN"
1.) All government buildings should be "green" -- in many states, solar power could be used to power 100% of government locations. Wind power would help in many other locations.

2.) All government vehicles should be hybrids.

1. Biden said he would immediately require all new federal buildings

to be green (thereby setting the standard for state governments to follow), and all fleet vehicles to be hybrid.

EDIT -- He made these statements during a debate - I'm looking for transcripts.

Here's his Energy Plan if you're interested:

3. I think the awareness and urgency to DO something NOW are growing exponentially.
I think whoever assumes office will have no choice but to take action -- thank God.

4. Biden is correct -- The US government is the country’s largest energy consumer.
But I would extend that to all government agencies, including all state and local goverments

He makes so much sense

9. $$$. And it's a catch-22. He doesn't have the money so the media and
voters don't pay attention, the media and voters don't pay attention so he doesn't get any money.

I remember hearing at the very beginning of this cycle about how much Clinton, Obama and Edwards had in their war chests, and the amount of money each had was as big a part of the story as the candidates themselves.

Your question sums up the frustration of those of us who support him. He makes SO much sense, and I'm continually surprised at how much he does know and how much consideration and thought he's put into the SOLUTIONS.

We try to send him money when we can, but we're no match against the big bucks people and corporations funneling money to the others. He's finally decided to accept matching public funding which makes me happy so that my teeny contributions are only half as teeny. :)

Sad, isn't it - truly heartbreaking. America - where any kid can grow up to become president IF s/he has obscene amounts of cash.

Thanks for asking. It's always nice to hear kind words about him. :hi:

11. I was upset during the debates
when his time was limited to only a few minutes

There must be a way to take the power away from corporations and give it back to the people

12. I think the only way to get the power to the people is to elect a President
who isn't in on the game. Unfortunately, I don't think some of our candidates would qualify for that.

Even though Biden was only given minimal time, he certainly was able to get some substantive statements out!

I spent the first 20 minutes of the MSNBC debate SCREAMING at my monitor I was so livid! This last debate wasn't as bad, but still very unfair. And I PRAY the next two are more equitable.
