Just A Rumor: "Lott may turn out to be the latest member of the Wide Stance Republican Club."
November 26, 2007
Tom Tomorrow:
Oh. My. God.

Okay, I’m just passing along the rumor here, but according to a site called “bigheaddc” (which is currently suffering from an overloaded server), Trent Lott may turn out to be the latest member of the Wide Stance Republican Club.

The link’s here, in case it comes back online anytime soon.

I mean, the DLF (Diaper Liberation Front) is a Big Thing for Chickenhawk Homelander republicons...

Republicon Senator David Vitter, president of the DLF

... Mark Foley, who likes "hot" boys and served as chairman of the House Subcommittee for Missing and Exploited Children.

He also resigned.

5. I was listening to one program and they had 2 reasons
1. New ethics rules go into effect at the beginning of the year that requires a 2 year cooling off for a member of Congress to return to the Capitol as a lobbyist. By resigning now, Lott gets to earn bucks immediately,

2, By resigning now, he gets to have his seat filled by the Governor so that an incumbent Repub can run for re-election.

11. I'm really glad to hear that.
Alaskans voted to have that rule too, after Frank Murkowski appointed his daughter Lisa to replace him in the Senate when he dropped out to run for governor. Special elections make so much more sense than governor appointments.

… contained an extremely interesting rumor, but it occurs to me that I’m actually not comfortable passing along rumors from sites with which I am not personally familiar. If the sourcing turns out to be solid, we’ll all be hearing a lot more about this one anyway.

49. here is the killer quote
with all the caring & sensitivity from one intimate person regarding the other:

“Trent is going through his fair share of scrutiny right now and I don’t want to add to it.”

first thing--would you call that sob "trent" if you didn't know him?

second thing--why would you give a shit about the scrutiny he's under if you weren't intimate with him or didn't know him?

What a coincidence. And he is one of the singers in that singing group with Larry Craig. Hmm.

been conned. Even if this rumor is not true (although, come on, at this point straight republicans seem to be going the way of the dinosaur), the other potential reason for his abrupt departure is even sleezier to me. :banghead:

39. You know, I always wondered
Remember how Lott was ousted from the Senate Majority Leader position? It seemed like the media piled on him after a short period of defending him.

He had no choice but to resign. And it wasn't Dems who forced it.

It's almost like he was being purged for some reason.

15 Minutes...

by Benjamin Nicholas

It looks like a Washington DC-based blog called BigHeadDC is making claim that there was (or, is) a working relationship between myself and Senator Trent Lott. There are falsely pieced-together quotes that serve no purpose other than to sensationalize a completely fabricated scoop.

I will continue to offer a great sense of confidentiality to the people I see. I have not, nor have I ever seen or had contact with Senator Trent Lott. It's as simple as that. It never happened.

44. That is a very interesting quote. "I will continue to offer a great sense of confidentiality
to the people I see. I have not, nor have I ever seen or had contact with Senator Trent Lott."

It sounds like the hooker is worried that he'll get a reputation for breaking confidentiality. In the same exact sentence in which he denies seeing Trent Lott, he reassures his customers that he'll protect their confidentiality.

In other words, the story may be true or not, but this hooker has made it clear that he would lie to protect his clients' confidentiality.
