I want to thank everyone here

For providing myself and other for the great posts on a daily
basics. Otherwise I wouldn't know jack shit about anything
that's going on in the USA and the world. Thank you guys and I
mean it the Media in my part of the coutry(midwest) can't come
close to what i read here on a daily basics. You do good/great
work.  :toast: O8) :thumbsup: :grouphug:

I don't know much about the mid-west, but I can only imagine what you're going through.

At least you have a computer and you can read. There are a lot of good blogs listed on the DU front page. It's important that you check them out periodically, so you will see many different views on what's really happening in the world.

I just spent a week in the "midwest". Sure are a lot of people drinking Kool Aid there.

(Lots in Texas too, but those folks up there don't get anything but RW propaganda. The newspapers are a joke.)

I agree; I've been a member for several years now. In addition to the highlights of the very important stories, there's such a diversity of viewpoints. I have to say that the most valuable thing to me is reading about everyone's personal experiences, as they relate to a certain issue; it really has been a consistently enlightening experience for me.

here, myself.

I once read a review of this place that described it as offering a "post-graduate" level of debate on issues. To that, I say "And HOW!" This is no mere website. This is a think tank. Seriously.
