Just listened to Guy Roz' report on the President's demand for his Iraq fund bill to go thru. Mr. Roz asserted that Mr. Bush is popular with the troops and cited how the "troops" shout at Mr. Bush as he walks down the hall. Mr. Roz didn't cite any specific survey of the troops who are actually risking their life and limb in the war proper. He only reported what some desk jockeys, perhaps hoping to get ahead at the Pentagon do to suck up to the man when he walks past them.
What has happened to journalism at NPR? Who approved this story to go forward?
Mr. Bush should support the troops by bringing our brave soldiers home now - especially those serving their 3rd and 4th tour. I would NPR to conduct a survey of those folks to see how much they appreciate Mr. Bush's support ... or rather lack thereof.
I am so incredibly tired of slanted propaganda dressed up as news... especially from sources I used to trust. Not sure if I was the only here listening to All Things Considered this evening... this annoy anyone else? Sent the above to them immediately after that "report" from Guy.
