"Inherit the Wind" on TCM right now
I love this movie. Just found it and Spencer Tracy as the Clarence Darrow character is telling the court, "It's bad enough that everybody who comes into this court room has to pass under a 'Read your Bible' sign--I demand that there be a sign put up--just as big--which says 'Read your Darwin.'

Great cast including Tracy, Fredric March, Gene Kelly, Dick York, Harry Morgan and Claude Atkins.

7. No

He was the liberal lawyer. I got his autograph on an old COMBAT! photo. It had him stumped. He was a surgeon and rank of captain. He knew it wasn't from M*A*S*H. Mike is also big on animal rights issues.

6. The revival meeting scene...
convinced me as a child that I never wanted to be a Christian because I didn't want to be that mindless. At that age, I didn't understand that I was offended by fundamentalism, rather than Christianity.
