Racist Senator Denny Altes (R) on immigration: "We are where we were with the black folks"

An advocacy group is calling an Arkansas state senator racist, and also calling for his resignation.

All this over an e-mail laced with racially charged statements.

This all started when senator Denny Altes of Fort Smith wrote an e-mail to one of his constituents.

The e-mail addresses Altes' hard line on illegal immigrants, but also comments on Arkansas' large African American population.

An excerpt from the e-mail reads: "I am for sending the illegals back but we know that is impossible. We are where we were with the black folks after the revolutionary war. We can't send them back and the more we piss them off, the worse it will be in the future."

Who brought the blacks here?

How many of them fought during the Revolution for both sides?

Do you really think they wanted to serve white folks.
