Could it be possible that the FBI is investigating the bush/cheney whitehouse
like they have ted stevens or the whole of abramoff, cunningham and all the other crooks. And one day we'll wake to the news that the prez and the vice are under arrest along with the secretary of state and several of the other key players. Could this be happening right now, the investigations that is?
I want to think it could

2. Theres been some strange shit happen before
plus I read something a couple years ago that there was an fbi investigation going on in washington that would rock the boat big time. I only read it once and didn't ever see it mentioned again. I don't know but I do know they took down around 200 of the Oklahoma county commissioners back in the early '80s.

anyways check this out

13. Maybe you are thinking of Josh Marshalls TECHTONIC PLATES?
Edited on Fri Nov-30-07 05:32 PM by seemslikeadream
In June, Josh Marshall Talking Points

A few points before signing off, though. You may have noticed a slight down-tick in the frequency of posts of late. And that’s for a few different reasons. But a principal one is that I and several colleagues have been working on a story that, if and when it comes to fruition — and I’m confident it shall — should shuffle the tectonic plates under that capital city where I normally hang my hat. So that’s something to look forward to in the not too distant future. And that’s taken some of my time away from TPM and prevented me from sharing with you some delectable tidbits which otherwise I would have loved to have done.

I’ve spent so much time over the last several months reporting on a project that has to do with classified materials that I’m embarrassed to say that I don’t know just what the rules are for taking notes of such classified documents in secure reading rooms.

16. Cheney Resignation Watch: Day 5
It's been 5 days since they spent two and a half hours shocking dickie's ticker.

Since then, Time had a piece describing a *split* in diplomacy efforts between dickie and chimpy. ABC suggested that his health may be getting worse.

I am hoping against hope he steps down soon.

9. I would add, "Is there a Secret Grand Jury working on the Bush/Cheney crimes?"
That would make a lot of sense in relation to the actions of committees doing oversight of crimes and scandals.

11. yes it would.
now that you mention it that could be what the deal is with everyone rather than what I've been thinking, blackmail. I have a problem in believing that all this shit is just going to be with us forever and that no one is going to stop this treasonous cabal. I've been wrong before and maybe I am now. who knows

10. There is an investigation going on
And when the FBI finds the crimes it will do the natural thing.....

Arrest all of the US people for making laws that don't respect *'s wishes.

i.e. prelude to martial law.

12. Abramoff is in jail singing, others too. MEANWHILE: Bush Loads Up On Lawyers
Edited on Fri Nov-30-07 05:29 PM by L. Coyote
There are co-conspirators in jail and cooperating with investigations. There are numerous witnesses under subpoena assisting investigations. There have been wiretaps on the phone calls of Republican Senators and Congress members involved with bribery criminals.

There is one problem. Bush still is president and his power includes the command chain of the DoJ, the FBI, etc.

They are fighting instead of resigning, and we are paying the legal tab!! And where do the lawyers come from. Same place as Mukasey!

Bush Loads Up On Lawyers As Scandals Consume White House
http://thinkprogress.org/2007/06/08/fieldings-staff

For six years, the Bush White House enjoyed a free ride from Congress during an era of one-party rule. Shortly after the Democrats took control over the House and Senate after the 2006 midterm elections, the White House began bracing itself for increased oversight. But back in January, the White House originally believed that its legal staff would not necessarily have to be expanded to deal with a new Congress:

Bush is moving quickly to fill vacancies within his stable of lawyers, though White House officials say there are no plans to drastically expand the legal staff to deal with a flood of oversight. .....

Times have changed. A mere six months later, the White House has found itself consumed by scandals of its own making. From the partisan purge of U.S. attorneys to the “lost” Rove emails to potentially illegal partisan briefings at federal agencies, the White House has subjected itself to intense scrutiny from congressional investigators due to its careless disregard for the law.

As a result, the White House has been forced to expand its legal staff to levels it had not anticipated:

Fielding has so far created five new positions for lawyers, and filled another handful of existing slots. He has expanded the size of the White House counsel’s office to 22 lawyers .........

.............

....... The presence of more lawyers, however, does not erase past wrongdoing.

WH Counsel Expands Legal Team
http://thegate.nationaljournal.com/2007/06/wh_counsel_expands_legal_team.php

Fred Fielding, President Bush's third and most seasoned White House counsel, is eager to talk about the new team of lawyers he is building.

The question is how one -- plus 21 -- experienced in-house lawyers can influence a president's second-term choices. And with 68-year-old Fielding -- a survivor of Watergate as John Dean's deputy; a veteran counsel to President Reagan .... Fielding has so far created five new positions for lawyers, and filled another handful of existing slots. He has expanded the size of the White House counsel's office to 22 lawyers ......

Richard Hauser, who was Fielding's deputy counsel in the Reagan White House and has known him since the Nixon administration, said his friend has shown a knack for assembling staffs of people with judgment as well as expertise. And having been through the searing experience of Watergate, Hauser added, Fielding has seen "how even well-meaning people can get into trouble -- how bad things can happen, and how careful you have to be."

Fielding said he recruited three people from his law firm and others he has worked with over the years, to give him a sense of "total confidence." ....

....the president's new deputy counsel is J. Michael Farren ... a conservative who helped Kenneth Starr investigate Clinton, is one of the Bush aides who approved the plan to purge eight U.S. attorneys last year.

...76-year-old Stephen Potts, who is leaving as board chairman of the Ethics Resource Center to join the White House in July. The first President Bush appointed Potts to direct the Office of Government Ethics ....

... three lawyers with training in the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York.....

... From his law firm, Fielding brought in as associate counsels partner Kate Todd and associates Amy Dunathan and Al Lambert. Todd clerked for Associate Justice Clarence Thomas and has taught constitutional law at Cornell University; Dunathan worked for two Senate committees; Lambert clerked for Judge Laurence Silberman on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit.

Fielding also recruited a friend and former associate with his firm, Scott Coffina, 39, from the Philadelphia firm of Montgomery McCracken, Walker & Rhoads. Coffina, a white-collar defense lawyer ....

... other hires are Francis Hoang ... Michael Purpura, who comes to the White House from Justice, where he was senior counsel to the deputy attorney general. Later this summer, Fielding said, he will add John Adams, who was a private litigator and is wrapping up a clerkship with Justice Thomas ....
